Day 9

Not to much driving today, we drove to Williams Arizona and took a train to the Grand Canyon. It was the first time I've ever seen it, I was shocked to learn that it's nearly 8000 feet above sea level. I always thought it was in the middle of the desert. Tomorrow we should be in California and our final state..

Day 8

Very nice day driving today, we made it to Arizona and visited the Petrified Forest, it was like a mini Grand Canyon. We stopped for the night in Winslow Arizona.

Day 7

A bit of a long day today, we went to Santa Fe and spent a few hours walking around and seeing the sights. The oldest US church is there and the oldest US house is there, pretty amazing...
We stopped in Grants New Mexico for the night, heading to Winslow Arizona tomorrow...

Day 6

Today was a good day driving,  no rain and a lot of things to see. We made it into New Mexico and are at a nice motel called The Blue Swallow. We're driving to Albuquerque tomorrow, looking forward to seeing Santa Fe.

Day 5

We've made it to Texas, a little town called Mclean. We had rain this morning, it cleared up in early afternoon. The bugs here are huge! I must have drove through a small swarm of grasshopper looking things, the car took an hour and a half to clean.. On to Amarillo tomorrow to see the Cadillac Ranch...

Day 4

Today has been a long day driving but we've seen lots! Traveled about 270 miles to Arcadia Oklahoma. The scenery in Kansas and Oklahoma is beautiful! We've found a great place to spend the night in a train caboose.. looking forward to hopefully getting to Texas tomorrow..
