Day 4

Today has been a long day driving but we've seen lots! Traveled about 270 miles to Arcadia Oklahoma. The scenery in Kansas and Oklahoma is beautiful! We've found a great place to spend the night in a train caboose.. looking forward to hopefully getting to Texas tomorrow..

Day 3

Another day gone, but well traveled. We had a little bit of rain today but not heavy at all. We are in Carthage Missouri and staying at a place called the Boots Court, and are sleeping in a room that Clark Gable once slept in! To cool..

Day 2

We got an early start today so we could catch up, we ended up driving 335 miles and made it into Missouri and got to see the Arch, wow that thing is huge! With any luck we'll make it to Kansas tomorrow.

Day 1

First day on Route 66 and everything is going well, except for our time management. Apparently time speeds up when you're on Route 66 and the miles traveled goes way down, oh well we'll make up some time and miles tomorrow. The car is running very well and even getting about 23 mpg!

On The Road

The day has finally come! We hit the road bright and early 4:30am and headed to the first paved mile in the US, done by Henry Ford to help sell the Model A.
From there we went to the Henry Ford Museum. It was amazing! Everything you can think of on display,  not just cars..

On to day 2 to start on Route 66!

One Week To Go!

It's hard to believe that it's been over a year since this trip was planned and in 7 days we'll be on the road heading to the Henry Ford Museum and to see the First mile of paved road..
